Anthony Rendon Dealing With Sore Thumb
2 years agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon (thumb) was out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Rangers due to a sore thumb. His thumb is sore after colliding with Matt Thaiss in Friday's game. According to Angels manager Phil Nevin, Rendon had a scheduled day off Sunday but will take Saturday off instead. The 32-year-old is considered day-to-day for now. Rendon is slashing .227/.400/.313 with 14 RBI, 15 runs, and two stolen bases over 105 plate appearances in 2023. Gio Urshela will handle third base duties while Rendon is sidelined.
