Baltimore Ravens inside linebacker Patrick Queen was selected with the 28th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft and had his best season as a Pro in 2022. However, the Ravens declined his fifth-year option just after the 2023 NFL Draft, so his future with the franchise could be uncertain.
Baltimore traded for former Bears linebacker Roquan Smith during the 2022 season and gave him a lucrative contract, so Queen is likely to hit free agency after the 2023 season concludes -- but he might be traded beforehand.
Will the Ravens trade Patrick Queen? Which teams could be interested in the 23-year-old linebacker? Let's dive in.

Will The Ravens Trade Patrick Queen?
Queen was a disappointment his first two years in the NFL after Baltimore took him 28th overall in 2022 but rebounded last year with career-highs in tackles (117), solo tackles (79), sacks (five), and interceptions (two). He also recorded nine tackles for loss, 14 QB hits, six passes defended, a forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries in 17 starts.
The 23-year-old has started every game in the last three seasons, so if he has another good year for Baltimore in 2023, he could earn another contract with Baltimore.
However, it seems more likely that he's traded or moves on to a new team in free agency next offseason. The Ravens gave Roquan Smith a five-year, $100 million contract with $45 million guaranteed and since off-ball linebackers are seeing an overall decrease in value among NFL franchises, it's tough to think they'd pay another linebacker high-end money.
Which Teams Could Trade For Queen?
The Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles, Indianapolis Colts, Washington Commanders, and Minnesota Vikings all lost or cut key linebackers this offseason, so Queen could be on their radar in the trade market ahead of the 2023 NFL season.
Queen is a talented player and former high draft pick, so there could be some interest among teams to buy low on him and see if they can revitalize his career with a change of scenery.
Either way, Queen will be on the fantasy radar in IDP leagues after a top-15 season in total fantasy points.
