Kenneth Walker III, Zach Charbonnet To Battle
2 years agoEven though the Seattle Seahawks found a true No. 1 running back in the second round of last year's NFL draft in Kenneth Walker III, they decided to go with Zach Charbonnet in the second round this year. "He's so versatile. He just will fit in and be a great addition. And really, we're gonna find out how far he can take it in terms of the receiving part of it. We know he's really good at it. But so is Kenneth, so those guys will be battling," head coach Pete Carroll said. Seattle also took running back Kenny McIntosh in the seventh round, further clouding the backfield heading into the 2023 season. Walker will still likely be the team's primary back, but Charbonnet will likely take away valuable snaps on third downs in passing situations.
