2 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Blake Snell finally earned a win in Monday's 8-3 game against the Reds. Snell pitched six innings, allowing three runs on eight hits (including a solo home run) and no walks with seven strikeouts. It was an overall encouraging start, as it was the 30-year-old's first of the season pitching beyond five innings and first without allowing a walk. Snell has been disappointing for fantasy managers this season, going 1-4 with a 5.28 ERA, 10.24 K/9 rate, and 5.59 BB/9 rate. It was a good first step, but Snell will need to prove that he can avoid walking runners before fantasy managers can fully trust him.
