Bears Really Like Roschon Johnson
2 years agoThe Chicago Bears really seem to like rookie running back Roschon Johnson, who was the No. 115 overall pick in this year's draft in the fourth round, even though he was the backup to Bijan Robinson at Texas. Everyone at Texas praised Johnson's work ethic and his toughness, and he might already be better than Khalil Herbert, even in pass protection. "(Johnson) increases the competition in the running back room," general manager Ryan Poles said. "But the cool thing about it is if you watch Texas tape, he does a lot." The Bears plan to rotate Herbert, D'Onta Foreman and Johnson in their backfield in 2023, but the 22-year-old rookie might already have the best path to third-down duties, which would make him worth a look in PPR leagues as a late-round draft flier in redraft leagues.
