Chris Taylor Absent From Monday's Starting Lineup
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers utility player Chris Taylor isn't in Monday's starting lineup against the Phillies and right-hander Taijuan Walker. Taylor knocked an RBI double while adding a single, a run scored, and a stolen base Sunday against the Phillies but will get a breather to start Monday's contest. Michael Busch gets the start at second base while Mookie Betts pivots to shortstop. Despite the big game Sunday, Taylor has struggled to begin the season as he's hitting just .167 with five home runs, two stolen bases, and a .631 OPS across 22 games while striking out in a hefty 41.7% of his plate appearances. Taylor has as many home runs as singles in the early going while his six extra-base knocks outweigh his five singles on the campaign.
