Michael Soroka Crushed In Triple-A Start
2 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Michael Soroka got clobbered in his start for Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday, allowing eight runs (seven earned) over three innings. He gave up 10 hits and only struck out one batter. Although this wasn't a great start, Soroka has mostly looked good in the minors so far, throwing 13 ⅔ innings with only two runs allowed. He pitched well enough to earn a big league spot, but there hasn't been a rotation spot available as Bryce Elder has held down the last starter job. This outing certainly won't help his cause, but Soroka should still see starts in the majors before long.
