Matt Brash Earns First Career Save Sunday
2 years agoSeattle Mariners right-hander Matt Brash picked up his first save of the season, and of his career, on Sunday, closing out the 10-8 affair against the Toronto Blue Jays. He pitched one inning, giving up no runs on one hit and two strikeouts. Brash has dominant stuff, demonstrated by his 26 strikeouts in 13 innings this season, but when batters do make contact, they hit him hard, as he owns a 4.85 ERA and 1.46 WHIP. Fantasy managers looking for saves should stay away from the Canadian native, who likely won't be in line for many more as the season progresses, but if he keeps earning more trust, he would be a solid option in hold leagues.
