We were supposed to be ready for Sunday afternoon (April 30th, 2023) as the Wurth 400 was schedule to come from Dover Motor Speedway in Dover, Delaware. This is the 11th 2023 edition of NASCAR DFS on PrizePicks. Our friends over at PrizePicks have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of. However, this time, these props will be available for a rare Monday afternoon race due to a Sunday washout.
PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, 5-player, or even 6-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win. As for the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.
Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the best, and easiest to win, NASCAR DFS games in the industry. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections.
PrizePicks and NASCAR focus on Fantasy Score which has a scoring system where first nets 45 points, second is worth 42, third is worth 41, and so on. Every lap led NOW equals an extra 0.25 points. Every fastest clocked lap equals an extra 0.45 points. Laps led are 0.25 points per lap and place differential is plus or minus one point. Also, stage wins are worth one point apiece. For NASCAR, we are going to try and focus on the main board's Fantasy Score and see which players may go over or under their projected point totals. Let's see what the board offers today!

Kyle Busch Less 42.5 Points.
The numbers feel high here as Kyle Busch gets a gifted pole from not only winning last week (as the Talladega carnage unfolded), but the NASCAR metric as well.
Now, could Busch win this race? Could he crash? Playing the percentages is nasty here given some of Busch's bad luck at Dover in previous years. It's a wager to side with the less.
Chris Buescher More 21.5 Points.
The choice is difficult because Chris Buescher may not be able to win at Dover, but he can contend. Buescher and his Ford have a recent top-10 at the "Monster Mile." Add in the fact that he typically starts from further back and there offers even more hope for Monday.
He may not lead many laps starting from fifth. However, the Ford driver showed he could run in the top-10 in both stages. Again, all he needs is that result for the MORE.
Josh Berry MORE 38.5 Points.
This is the first week we stay away from Brad Keselowski in awhile. Last week was too close for our tender little hearts. This week, we try for Josh Berry in the Alex Bowman Ally Chevy. Yes, Bowman is out with a fractured vertebrae. Berry gets to hop in and people forget that Bowman car has three top-five's in its last four Dover appearances and a win.
The Chevy looked good in practice and thanks to the NASCAR metric, Berry slides all the way down to a 23rd-place start. Gifts are always a good thing here at PrizePicks and here is one.
Chase Briscoe MORE 22.5 Points.
It is fun when numbers come to one' side. Chase Briscoe had that 13th at Dover last year and easily could have finished in the top ten. If conditions stay reasonable Sunny and cool enough on Monday, that could help the Ford.
Briscoe starts sixth on Monday which carries cleaner air hopes. His first two efforts at Dover saw him in the middle of the pack where he had to fight tooth and nail. Now, he just needs a good race car on Monday afternoon. A top ten probably does the trick for the Stewart-Haas racer.
Ty Gibbs MORE 33.5 Points.
While pondering Christopher Bell once again, we ran into Ty Gibbs. Gibbs and his Joe Gibbs Racing car were pretty good at Talladega. Also, the No. 54 has a soft spot at Dover from his Xfinity days. Starting 24th could allow Gibbs to move into the top 12 which gives us the points needed with a little cushion.
Now, the Toyotas look like decent bets again on Monday. Our idea is to play with some house money and hope Gibbs rises as the race moves along. Monday races often breed some strange results from time to time. Expect the unexpected when the drivers have an extra day of rest.
Other Recommendations:
- Joey Logano MORE 49.5 Points
- Ryan Blaney LESS 32.5 Points
- Kyle Larson MORE 61.5 Points
- Chase Elliott MORE 56.5 Points
- Ryan Preece LESS 40.5 Points
