Points Leader Christopher Bell To Start 2nd At Dover
2 years agoWeather is an issue at Dover Motor Speedway this weekend, as it has been (and is expected to continue to be) wet. NASCAR was forced to cancel Cup Series qualifying because of the rain, and that means the starting lineup is set by the qualifying metric that the series uses. That will put points leader Christopher Bell on the front row for Sunday's (hopefully) Wurth 400, as he will start 2nd next to pole sitter, Kyle Busch. Bell doesn't have the strongest track record at Dover, as his average finish over four career starts here is a disappointing 18.5. However, he finished a career-best 4th in last year's race at this track, which is actually one of his favorites. When asked about The Monster Mile recently, Bell stated, "We're looking for a good run at Dover. It's one of my favorite tracks and a place we ran well at last year, I'm ready to get there and see what we can do this year."
