Adley Rutschman Resting In Game 1
2 years agoBaltimore Orioles catcher Adley Rutschman is not in the starting lineup for Game 1 of a doubleheader on Saturday against the Detroit Tigers. This will be Rutschman's first game on the bench of the season, and he'll likely be back in the there for the second game of the twin bill against Detroit. The 25-year-old switch-hitting backstop has been great for the Orioles and fantasy managers alike at the start of his second big-league season. He's currently hitting .287 (27-for-94) with two doubles, four home runs, 17 RBI, 11 runs scored and a league-leading 20 walks in 116 plate appearances and 25 games played. When he's active, he's a must-start at a shallow position. James McCann is doing the catching in Game 1 and is hitting sixth against Tigers left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez.
