Texas Rangers third baseman Josh Jung (hand) was hit in the left hand by a pitch on Wednesday and was held out of Thursday's game, but manager Bruce Bochy expects Jung to try and push his way into Friday's lineup. Bochy said the decision would come down to the medical staff. Ezequiel Duran started at the hot corner with Jung out on Thursday. The 25-year-old Jung has been a vital part of Texas' lineup early this year, as he's hitting .281/.333/.494 with four doubles, five home runs, 16 RBI, a stolen base and 15 runs scored in 96 plate appearances over 23 games played. Jung was able to take batting practice on Thursday and should be back for fantasy managers this weekend. Get him back into your lineups.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Texas Rangers third baseman Josh Jung had an excellent day at the plate in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Rockies. Jung went 3-for-4 with a single, a three-run home run, and a solo HR. The 27-year-old lined a first-inning Kyle Freeland fastball into the right-field dugout to plate three and launched a Zach Agnos offering into the left-field seats in the eighth inning. Jung has put together solid numbers in 2025, slashing .282/.315/.492 with six HR, 16 RBI, and two stolen bases in 130 plate appearances. Injuries have been an issue for Jung throughout his career, but he has produced decent batting average and power when healthy.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller

Texas Rangers third baseman Josh Jung (finger) is back at third base and is hitting sixth in Monday's series opener against the division-rival Athletics and left-hander JP Sears at Globe Life Field. Jung received a cut on his index finger in Sunday's series finale against the San Francisco Giants, but it was nothing serious and he'll be back on the field a day later. Fantasy managers will want to get the oft-injured third baseman back into their starting lineups for the week. He's in the midst of a modest five-game hitting streak in which he's gone 6-for-17 with a home run, double, RBI, stolen base and run scored in 18 plate appearances. Jung has been strong for the Rangers and fantasy managers so far in 2025, too, hitting .282 (20-for-71) with two homers and seven RBI. Jung has also hit .308 in 13 career at-bats against Sears.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Texas Rangers third baseman Josh Jung (finger) was removed early during Sunday's game against the San Francisco Giants. Jung was taken out in the fifth inning due to a cut on his index finger. It's unclear when Jung suffered the injury, but hopefully this won't result in a trip to the injured list. Josh Smith took over at third base while Nick Ahmed moved over to shortstop as a result of Jung exiting the contest. Smith figures to see more time at the hot corner if Jung is forced to miss time.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

Texas Rangers third baseman Josh Jung went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and a stolen base in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Seattle Mariners. Jung blasted a two-run shot off Trent Thornton in the top of the sixth inning to tie the game 3-3. It was his first home run of the season. He also added an RBI single to rack up three RBI in Friday's loss. The 27-year-old was recently activated from the injured list on Tuesday after missing some time with neck spasms. Jung has been blistering hot, collecting a hit in all five games he's played this season. Overall, Jung is slashing .474/.474/.842 with a home run, six RBI, three runs, and a stolen base. Fantasy managers should continue to roll with Jung while he's swinging a hot bat, and he looks to continue his torrid stretch against the Mariners on Saturday.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
