Detroit Lions running back D'Andre Swift has been one of the most efficient receivers at the position since he was selected in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. However, the former Georgia Bulldog has struggled to stay healthy -- and the team has been hesitant to give him a ton of touches on a weekly basis.
The franchise picked Alabama running back Jahmyr Gibbs with the 12th overall pick, who is known for his receiving skills out of the backfield. That said, Swift's time in Detroit feels like it could be coming to an end.
Will the Lions trade D'Andre Swift after drafting Gibbs? Which teams could be interested in the 24-year-old back? Let's dive in.

Will The Lions Trade D'Andre Swift?
The Lions are reportedly receiving calls about a potential Swift trade, and although nothing is certain, it would make sense to deal him while he's still young. The running back room is crowded with Gibbs and David Montgomery, so trading Swift could yield the team immediate picks as the draft moves along into Saturday.
Swift fits the modern NFL as an explosive runner and high-upside receiving back, and if he goes to a team who already has an early-down back, his fantasy upside could see a boost. There's a chance he simply just needs a fresh start.
Which Teams Could Trade For Swift?
Some intriguing landing spots for Swift include the Kansas City Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals, Denver Broncos, and New Orleans Saints.
Kansas City likes Isiah Pacheco, but Swift could join the Patrick Mahomes-led offense and take over Jerick McKinnon's passing game role from last season. Cincinnati is reportedly looking to move on from Joe Mixon, so Swift could be a nice piece to help that effort. In Denver, Sean Payton loves pass-catching running backs, and with Javonte Williams' (knee) early-season status up in the air, that landing spot could make sense too. Swift could also reunite with Jamaal Williams in New Orleans -- as Alvin Kamara could be facing a lengthy suspension in 2023.
Ultimately, the possibilities are endless since he's not expected to be a workhorse back. Most teams utilize committees, so any team without a solid RB1 and RB2 could be in the market for Swift.
