Gavin Stone Carves Up Eight Batters
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers pitching prospect Gavin Stone put together another strong performance for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday. The 24-year-old tossed five innings and allowed three hits, one run, two walks and recorded eight strikeouts. In any other organization, Stone would likely be in the big leagues, but the Dodgers strong depth has him down on the farm. For the season, he is now 2-2 with a 4.74 ERA and 27 strikeouts in 24 2/3 innings. One of the top arms in the minor leagues, Stone should warrant the attention of dynasty managers and redraft managers should consider stashing Stone with him being an option if a starting pitcher gets hurt or demoted on the big-league squad.
