Falcons A Candidate To Take Bijan Robinson In Top 10?
2 years agoMany around the league believe University of Texas running back Bijan Robinson could go as high as No. 8 overall to the Atlanta Falcons in the first round of this year's NFL draft on Thursday night. Atlanta general manager Terry Fontenot and head coach Arthur Smith have shown a pattern of taking the best player available, regardless of position. Tyler Allgeier was a 1,000-yard rusher in 2022, but he's not a game-changer like Robinson. Smith could favor using Robinson similarly to how he used Derrick Henry in his time with the Titans. Atlanta also needs help off the edge and in their secondary, but ESPN's Jordan Reid says not to be surprised if the Falcons stick to their best-player-available theory in the first round.
