This Year's Tight End Class May Be The Deepest Ever
2 years agoScouts, coaches and executives believe this could be the deepest tight end class in a decade, and possibly ever. Everyone is amazed by the overall talent and also the variety at the position. ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay has eight of the tight ends ranked in his top 100, while two -- Utah's Dalton Kincaid and Notre Dame's Michael Mayer -- are likely to go in the first round on Thursday night. McShay writes that he'd be very surprised if all eight of his top-ranked tight ends aren't off the board by the end of Day 2 of the 2023 draft on Friday night. It's great news for teams that are looking for a difference-maker at the position this year.
