Wil Myers Scratched On Tuesday
2 years agoCincinnati Reds outfielder/first baseman Wil Myers has been scratched from Tuesday's starting lineup due to neck spasms. Originally scheduled to start against Texas Rangers southpaw Martin Perez, Myers will instead yield first base to Tyler Stephenson while Luke Maile will start behind the plate. It's been a slow start to the season for Myers as he's hitting just .222 with two homers, one steal, and a .613 OPS across 89 trips to the plate. The veteran did get things turned around over the last couple of games with three hits and a walk across eight plate appearances but also recorded just one single across his previous six contests prior to that.
