Hendon Hooker Could Be A Top-20 Pick
2 years agoUniversity of Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker has seemingly risen up draft boards this offseason, and ESPN's Todd McShay said he could even be a top-20 selection on Thursday Night. "I keep hearing Hooker will get picked in the top 20. If Tennessee moves back -- maybe to No. 17 in a swap with the OL-needy Steelers -- that could be a team to watch," McShay said. "But Tampa Bay and Minnesota have been linked to him, as well. Hooker claims he'll be ready for training camp after suffering a torn ACL in late November, but it's unknown whether that is the case. Ultimately, a team could opt to draft the 25-year-old in the first round to secure a 5th-year option. Hooker posted 27 passing touchdowns to just two interceptions in his final season at Tennessee, winning SEC Offensive Player of the Year.
