Brian Anderson Moves Into Cleanup Spot Monday
2 years agoMilwaukee Brewers third baseman/right fielder Brian Anderson will move up into the cleanup spot for Monday's contest against the Detroit Tigers and lefty Matthew Boyd. It's just the second start of the season out of the four-hole for Anderson who has made 21 starts and appeared in 22 games to this point. His Brewers tenure is off to a scorching-hot start as the former Miami Marlin is hitting .280 with five home runs, a 12.5% BB%, and an .897 OPS across 88 trips to the plate. Anderson is coming off his best game of the young season as he launched a pair of solo home runs in Sunday's 12-5 loss to the Boston Red Sox. It was Anderson's first game with a home run since also smacking a pair of long balls back on April 4 against the New York Mets.
