Yu Darvish Expected To Make Next Start
2 years agoSan Diego Padres right-hander Yu Darvish (hamstring) is expected to make his next scheduled start after exiting early during Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks. Darvish was pulled in the bottom of the sixth inning on Sunday and was diagnosed with a right hamstring cramp. He allowed one earned on two hits and five walks while striking out five over 5 2/3 innings before leaving. The Padres right-hander did pick up his first win in 2023. "Darvish is expected to make his next start," said Padres manager Bob Melvin. The 36-year-old owns a 1-2 record with a 3.00 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and a 25:12 K: BB across 24 innings in 2023. Fantasy managers with weekly lineups can start Darvish, who is set to face the Giants in a road matchup on Sunday.
