Masataka Yoshida Homers Twice Sunday
2 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Masataka Yoshida went 2-for-6 with two homers and six RBI in a 12-5 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday. Both of Yoshida's homers came in the eighth inning, with the first a solo shot and the second homer a grand slam, the first of his MLB career. Yoshida became the first big leaguer to hit two homers in an inning, including a grand slam, since Edwin Encarnacion did it with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2013. Yoshida is now hitting .231 with three homers, 11 runs, 15 RBI, and two steals across 65 at-bats for the Red Sox this season.
