2 years agoToronto Maple Leafs goaltender Ilya Samsonov stopped 36-of-39 shots on goal in Saturday's 4-3 overtime victory against the Lightning in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference first-round series. Samsonov did not have a great start to the game as he gave up two goals in the opening period, but the 26-year-old kept the team in the game and made huge saves in regulation and overtime while surrendering only one more goal for the remainder of the contest. Samsonov and the Maple Leafs have a chance to put the Lightning on the brink of elimination if they manage to steal Game 4 on the road, and they will have momentum heading into Monday's contest.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller
