2 years agoOver the last six races here at Talladega, Erik Jones has one of the top-average finish at ninth. In both of the races last year, the first for the NextGen car, Jones finished sixth in both the spring and fall races. Jones has proven himself on the superspeedway. When looking at the last 16 races on similar track types, Jones has an average finish of 16.8. He has seven top-10 finishes in those races. Here at Talladega, as the race approaches the final 10%, Jones has an average running position of seventh. Sunday, Jones will start the race in the 24th position.--Eric DeWilde
