Robbie Grossman Picks Up Two Hits In Loss
2 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Robbie Grossman went 2-for-4 with a run scored and two strikeouts while hitting second and serving as the designated hitter in the team's 5-4 loss to the Oakland Athletics on Friday night. Grossman has been moved up in the Rangers' batting order and now has a modest four-game hitting streak to his name. It's been nice to see for the 33-year-old veteran outfielder, who is still hitting only .196 (10-for-51) with a double, one home run, six RBI and eight runs scored in his first 16 games in Texas. Playing time will probably remain inconsistent for Grossman as he battles for playing time in the outfield with Brad Miller, Travis Jankowski and Bubba Thompson.
