Keibert Ruiz In Two-Hole Against Twins
2 years agoWashington Nationals catcher Keibert Ruiz is starting behind the dish and is hitting out of the No. 2 spot in the batting order on Friday against the Minnesota Twins and right-hander Tyler Mahle. With Ruiz at No. 2, first baseman Dominic Smith will be dropped to the sixth spot in the order. Ruiz hasn't done anything special with the bat yet in 16 games, going 16-for-61 (.262) with three doubles, a home run, five RBI and two runs scored, but he'll have slightly more DFS upside on Friday in the two-hole. Meanwhile, Smith has struggled with a .226 average (14-for-62) with no doubles or home runs, four RBI and 11 strikeouts in his first 16 games.
