Jaguars Could Take Best Player Available In First Round
2 years agoThe Jacksonville Jaguars don't have many clear needs heading into this year's draft, so they might have the luxury of taking the best prospect available at pick No. 24 in the first round next Thursday night. Their priorities seem to be at edge rusher and cornerback, but they could also go offensive tackle to help young quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Alabama safety Brian Branch has a skill set that the Jaguars are missing in their secondary with Tyson Campbell and Darious Williams at outside cornerback. The Jags have also done a lot of homework on this year's class of defensive linemen, and a defensive end could be a sneaky position to watch early on. Eleven of the team's top-30 visits have been with D-linemen, including Texas Tech's Tyree Wilson, Clemson's Myles Murphy and Georgia's Nolan Smith.
