University of Utah tight end Dalton Kincaid has risen up draft boards over the last two months after an impressive final season in college. Kincaid began his career at San Diego before transferring to Utah, so he's already 23 years old and will turn 24 during his rookie campaign.
However, tight ends take time to develop and he has already flashed high-end receiving upside, so his age could actually benefit him early on in his career.
How did Kincaid play during his five-year career and will he be a first-round pick on April 27th? Let's dive in.

Dalton Kincaid Career Review
In two years at San Diego, Kincaid caught 68 passes for 1,209 yards and 19 touchdowns. His elite play at the FCS level opened the door for him to transfer to Utah, and he didn't disappoint.
Kincaid caught just one pass in his Covid-shortened junior season at Utah, but he totaled 106 receptions for 1,400 yards and 16 touchdowns over his redshirt junior and redshirt senior years. His best day came against the seventh-ranked USC Trojans, as the 240-pound tight end caught 16 passes for 234 yards and one touchdown.
He established himself as a top-three tight end in college football alongside Notre Dame's Michael Mayer and Georgia's Brock Bowers.
Will Dalton Kincaid be a First-Round Pick?
According to MockDraftDataBase.com, which aggregates thousands of mock drafts to form a big board of prospects, Kincaid ranks as the 27th overall prospect. The tight end spot sees more target volume and receiving upside each season, so the premium on top-of-the-line players at the position has increased.
The Los Angeles Chargers, Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Bengals, Detroit Lions, Washington Commanders, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are all TE-needy teams picking from No. 15 to No. 29 overall. Those would all be great fits for Kincaid in the mid-to-late first round. In all likelihood, he will be a first-round selection.
