2 years agoFormer Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Blaine Gabbert is expected to sign a deal with the Kansas City Chiefs to back up the reigning MVP Patrick Mahomes. Gabbert was the 10th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft but lasted just three seasons with Jacksonville before taking on a backup role in San Francisco. The 33-year-old has 9,302 passing yards, 51 passing touchdowns, and 47 interceptions in 67 games played in his career thus far. Longtime Chiefs' backup Chad Henne retired this offseason, so it looks like Gabbert is the new QB2 in Kansas City. He's worth drafting in ultra-deep superflex leagues, but will have no fantasy value in traditional leagues.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBaller
