Austin Wynns To Make Dodgers Debut Monday
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers catcher Austin Wynns will make his team debut Monday when he takes on the Mets and left-hander David Peterson. With Will Smith injured, the Dodgers signed Wynns on Sunday and he will make his debut just 24 hours later. The 32-year-old began his career with Baltimore but moved on to the Giants last season and even appeared in one game for them this season. Wynns is a career .230 hitter with 12 home runs, one stolen base, and a .609 OPS across 510 trips to the plate. Austin Barnes is likely to see the bulk of playing time as Smith sits on the 7-day injured list with a concussion but Wynns gets an opportunity to contribute out of the gate on Monday night.
