Boston College wide receiver Zay Flowers is coming off a fantastic senior campaign in 2022 and is drawing interest from numerous franchises ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft.
The 2023 wide receiver class is perceived to be weak as Jaxon Smith-Njigba seems like the only lock to go in the first round, but there are plenty of WR-needy teams who could look to draft one in the middle or end of day one. In fact, Flowers could benefit from the lackluster class as it could push him up into the top 30 selections.
How did Flowers play during his four-year career and will he be a first-round pick on April 27th? Let's dive in.

Zay Flowers Career Review
In his first three seasons at Boston College, Flowers caught 122 passes for 1,979 yards and 17 touchdowns combined. He was at least somewhat productive in all three seasons, but his senior year is what has catapulted him up draft boards.
In 2022, Flowers posted career highs in receptions (78), receiving yards (1,077), and receiving touchdowns (12). All figures ranked top-three among ACC pass-catchers.
The 22-year-old wideout earned his second First-Team All-ACC honors and declared for the 2023 NFL Draft.
Will Zay Flowers be a First-Round Pick?
According to MockDraftDataBase.com, which aggregates thousands of mock drafts to form a big board of prospects, Flowers ranks 26th among all prospects. Flowers has held steady as a late-first-round selection in most mock drafts over the months of March and April and is fully expected to go among the top 31 selections as of April 17th.
There are plenty of WR-needy teams in the middle and late part of the first round including the New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers, Baltimore Ravens, Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants, Buffalo Bills, New Orleans Saints, and Kansas City Chiefs. Many of those teams have already hosted Flowers on a top 30 visit, and it's more likely than not that he lands in one of those spots. At worse, he'll fall into the early second round.
