2 years agoChase Briscoe, starts in the second row alongside teammate Aric Almirola on Sunday. While the Stewart-Hass team was not impressive in practice, they showed up for qualifying. Briscoe was not impressive to start his Cup Series career at Martinsville. In 2021, he failed to break into the top 20. However, in 2022 he nabbed two top-10 finishes. Briscoe likes the short, flat tracks this season, finishing seventh in Phoenix. In the other race on a similar track, Briscoe found himself just outside the top 10 in Richmond, finishing 12th. The No. 14 Ford likes the low down force package which will be used Sunday.--Eric DeWilde
