DJ LeMahieu Expects To Be Full-Go Saturday
2 years agoNew York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu (quadriceps), who remains out on Friday against the Minnesota Twins, expects to be full-go on Saturday. LeMahieu doesn't think his quad injury is at all related to his toe/foot injury from last year. The 34-year-old is out for a third straight contest on Friday, but it looks like he'll avoid the injured list and return on Saturday as the Yankees' leadoff hitter. LeMahieu is hitting .263 (10-for-38) with four doubles, a triple, a homer, three RBI and eight runs scored in his first 10 games, and he can provide solid counting stats for fantasy managers at the top of a potent lineup when he's healthy. Isiah Kiner-Falefa is at third base and batting ninth, while rookie shortstop Anthony Volpe continues to hit leadoff on Friday against Twins right-hander Louie Varland.
