Jeffery Simmons Feels Fine After Ankle Procedure
2 years agoTennessee Titans defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons (ankle) had his ankle "cleaned up" in the offseason but said he feels fine now. Simmons' ankle injury caused him to miss two games last year, but he should be good to go for training camp this summer and the start of the 2023 season after signing a four-year, $94 million contract extension this offseason. The 25-year-old former first-round pick (19th overall) in 2019 has been an All-Pro the last two seasons and finished with 54 tackles (25 solo), 7.5 sacks, nine tackles for loss, 14 QB hits, seven passes defensed and one forced fumble in 15 starts for the Titans last year. He has 16 sacks for Tennessee the last two years and will remain a key part of their defensive line in 2023.
