Jack Leiter Improves In Second Start
2 years agoTexas Rangers pitching prospect Jack Leiter put together a nice performance on Wednesday for Double-A Frisco. After a rough debut to the season, Leiter tossed 4 1/3 innings and allowed four hits, one run, four walks and recorded seven strikeouts. Through 8 2/3 innings (two starts) this season, Leiter has allowed seven walks and recorded 12 strikeouts. The Vanderbilt product struggled with command in Double-A last season and will need to figure that out to take the next step. Assuming he does, he can quickly rise through the Rangers system. For now, Leiter is a stash in dynasty leagues and can be avoided in redraft leagues.
