Masyn Winn Hits First Homer
2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals shortstop prospect Masyn Winn went 3-for-6 with two runs and a two-run homer for Triple-A Memphis on Wednesday. The homer would be his first of the season. Winn, 21, has been off to a sluggish start this season, but things are starting to turn around for the Cardinals top prospect with Jordan Walker graduating to the big-league club. For the season, Winn is now hitting .227 with one home run, five RBI and four stolen bases. The Cardinals have one of the deepest rosters in all of baseball, so it's more likely than not that Winn will continue to get seasoning down on the farm. Dynasty managers should hold onto Winn and managers in redraft leagues can avoid for now. If Winn were to get a promotion this year, he would be an intriguing add with his ability to help on the basepaths and adding some pop in his bat.
