Michael Conforto Dealing With Calf Tightness
2 years agoSan Francisco Giants outfielder Michael Conforto (calf) exited Wednesday's game against the Dodgers due to left calf tightness. He went 0-for-2 with a run scored before leaving in the fourth inning. The 30-year-old is considered day-to-day. Conforto is off to a solid start in 2023, slashing .225/.367/.450 with three home runs, six RBI, nine runs scored, and a stolen base across 11 games. Bryce Johnson replaced Conforto in Wednesday's contest but exited early and was evaluated for a concussion. Johnson is considered day-to-day. Conforto and Johnson will have extra time to recover as the Giants are off Thursday, and both will look to return to the lineup for Friday's game against the Detroit Tigers. LaMonte Wade Jr. should see an uptick in at-bats if Conforto misses any games.
