Matt Manning Fractures Right Foot Tuesday
2 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Matt Manning fractured a bone in his right foot during his Tuesday start against the Toronto Blue Jays, according to Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press. It's unclear if he'll miss any time, but the right-hander wants to make his next scheduled start. Manning has dealt with injuries in the past, as he was limited to 63 innings last year with shoulder problems. The former top prospect hasn't performed as expected since making his debut in 2021, and so far, he's posted a 4.63 ERA, 14.6% strikeout rate, and 1.29 WHIP with a 1-1 record over his first two starts of 2023. Manning doesn't have much fantasy relevance and can be left on the waiver wire healthy or not.
