2 years agoCleveland Guardians closer Emmanuel Clase tossed a scoreless ninth inning to slam the door on a 3-2 win over the New York Yankees on Monday. Clase finished with two strikeouts without allowing a baserunner in the frame. The star closer needed just 10 pitches to send the Yankees down in order while notching two whiffs along the way. Clase now has converted three of his four save chances while posting a 4.50 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, and six strikeouts in six innings.
