2 years agoSeattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh is out of Monday's starting lineup against the Chicago Cubs and left-hander Drew Smyly. The 26-year-old has appeared in nine of Seattle's first 10 games of the season while starting eight of them. With a healthy, righty-swinging Tom Murphy behind him, Raleigh will get his rest when the Mariners take on a left-handed starting pitcher this season. After breaking out with 27 home runs last season, Raleigh has one in nine games this time around while posting a .748 OPS across his first 37 trips to the plate, all but three of them coming against right-handed pitching.--Brenton Kemp
