2 years agoTampa Bay Rays second baseman Brandon Lowe is batting second on Saturday against Shintaro Fujinami and the Oakland Athletics. The 28-year-old second baseman was absent from the Tampa lineup over the last two contests as they faced left-handed starters. Lowe is already off to a disappointing start having missed a game with a toe contusion and appearing in just five contests overall. He's slashing .200/.333/.200 with no home runs or RBI through 15 at-bats. Perhaps a matchup with Fujinami, who was destroyed in his MLB debut vs. the Angels in his previous start, will be just what the doctor ordered.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
