Seahawks Re-Sign Cody Thompson
2 years agoThe Seattle Seahawks re-signed wide receiver Cody Thompson to an undisclosed deal on Tuesday. Originally an undrafted free agent out of Toledo, Thompson first signed with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2019 before joining Seattle's practice squad later that year. He also spent time on the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad before re-signing with Seattle. He has appeared in only five games (in 2021), playing mostly on special teams for the Seahawks. The 27-year-old pass-catcher spent all of the 2022 season on Injured Reserve after suffering a shoulder injury in the first preseason game. Thompson will continue to provide receiver and special teams depth for Seattle in 2023.
