Trevor Larnach Starting The Year Off Strong
Trevor Larnach went 1-for-3 with a walk in Tuesday's 1-0 loss to the Miami Marlins. It was another solid showing for the 26-year-old, who's slashing .421/.522/.684 with a home run, four runs, and five RBI over five games. Larnach is a recent former prospect but has yet to put it all together in the big leagues and has dealt with multiple injuries. Across 51 games last season, he hit .231 with a .712 OPS. If Larnach can put together a full season, he has the talent to provide fantasy managers with power and counting stats, as he's been a constant presence in the middle of the Twins lineup.

Trevor Larnach Homers, Collects Four RBI On Friday
Trevor Larnach went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, a home run, four RBI, and a run scored in Friday's 11-4 win over the Angels. It was the left-handed hitter's fourth home run of the season, all of which have come in the last seven games after going homer-less in his first 18 contests. The former first-round draft pick is coming off a 15-home run campaign in 2024 after playing a career-high 112 games, and if he can stay in the lineup a bit more in 2025, he's on track to set a new career high in home runs. Through 25 games, the 6-foot-3 slugger is slashing .224/.330/.388 with 13 RBI, 14 runs scored, and a stolen base with a .320 wOBA and 110 wRC+. Unfortunately, Larnach is a career .195 hitter versus left-handed pitching, so he will typically sit against them and can be a frustrating season-long fantasy asset, however, continue to pencil him into DFS lineups against righties while he's hot.

Trevor Larnach Launches Another Long Ball
Trevor Larnach continued his recent surge with another home run on Wednesday against the White Sox. Minnesota has been desperately searching for offense, and Larnach has delivered over the last few games. The 28-year-old lefty has hit safely in each of his last five games, going 6-for-17 (.353) with three home runs and a .545 wOBA over that short span. He has six hard-hit balls in those five games, per Statcast, giving him a 40.0% hard-hit rate over that stretch. On the season, Larnach is still hitting only .218 with a .303 wOBA and 99 wRC+; however, this recent surge should earn him some more playing time and keep him anchored as a key contributor in the Twins' batting order against right-handed pitchers. He can be a short-term pickup or DFS streaming option while he's so hot, although he hasn't been able to sustain this kind of production in the past.

Trevor Larnach Hits The Bench Against Lefty
Trevor Larnach will start on the bench for Thursday's series opener on the road against the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Field with a left-handed starter on the bump. Manuel Margot will start in left field and will bat leadoff for the Twins against Rangers left-hander Cody Bradford. This should come as no surprise to fantasy managers in deeper leagues that have Larnach rostered, as he's only been afforded 16 plate appearances all year against southpaws, with just two hits and six strikeouts against them. Margot is in an appealing lineup spot and has hit .275 (33-for-120) against left-handers on the year, but he only has four home runs and four stolen bases in 2024 and is still a low-upside DFS sleeper against the defending World Series champions.

Trevor Larnach, Matt Wallner Sitting Against Lefty
Trevor Larnach and Matt Wallner are taking a seat on the bench in Game 1 of Friday's doubleheader against the visiting division-rival Cleveland Guardians with left-hander Joey Cantillo on the mound. Manuel Margot is making the start in left field and will bat leadoff, while Royce Lewis shifts to designated hitter and is batting third against Cantillo. Jose Miranda is at third base and is hitting cleanup for the Twins. Margot has some sleeper appeal in the leadoff spot for DFS purposes, but he still has a pretty low fantasy ceiling and is batting .266 (30-for-113) with three of his home runs in 58 games against left-handed pitchers this year. Expect to see Larnach and Wallner back in action for Game 2 of the twin bill versus Guardians right-hander Alex Cobb.
