Evan Longoria Hits First Homer Against Padres
2 years agoArizona Diamondbacks third baseman Evan Longoria went 2-for-4 with his first home run of the season, an RBI, two runs scored and a strikeout in Monday night's 5-4 loss to the San Diego Padres. Longoria is now hitting .273 (3-for-11) with a double, home run, RBI and three runs scored in the first four games of the 2023 season after taking the day off on Sunday. The 37-year-old is no longer in his prime, but he can provide fantasy managers with modest counting stats if he's able to stay on the field. Longo has dealt with various injuries in recent seasons and hasn't played over 89 games since 2019. There's also a good chance he won't be an everyday player for the D-backs with some talented youngsters in need of playing time on their roster.
