Devin Williams Picks Up First Save Of The Season
2 years agoMilwaukee Brewers right-hander Devin Williams allowed two hits while striking out two over a scoreless inning to earn the save during Saturday's 3-1 win over the Chicago Cubs. He allowed a pair of singles to start the ninth inning but settled down by getting Cody Bellinger to ground into a double play and strike out Miles Mastrobuoni to seal the victory. It was his first save of the season. The 28-year-old struck out 87 batters while racking up 15 saves for the Brewers in 2022.
