2 years agoEven the most casual of NASCAR fans can see that Aric Almirola and his #10 Stewart-Haas Racing team are struggling this season. Through the first six races of 2023, Almirola has just one finish better than 21st, and that was a 16th-place result at Las Vegas back in early March. In the last three Cup Series races, Aric has ended up 30th, 30th, and 33rd. This weekend at Richmond could be the one that turns things around for Aric Almirola, though. Statistically, Richmond one of his best on the schedule, and he has an average finish of 14.9 over 21 career starts here (along with eight top 10s). Almirola starts 32nd in Sunday's Toyota Owners 400 but that's exactly where he started here back in August of last year and he still finished 8th in that race.--Jordan McAbee
