Scotty Miller Agrees To One-Year Deal With Falcons
2 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers free-agent wide receiver Scotty Miller agreed to an undisclosed one-year deal with the Atlanta Falcons on Wednesday, according to a source. Miller will stay in the NFC South after spending the first four years of his NFL career with the Buccaneers. In his four seasons with the team, he caught 74 of his 128 targets for 924 yards and four touchdowns in 50 regular season games (eight starts). The 25-year-old former sixth-rounder in 2019 had 23 receptions for 185 yards in 15 regular season games on 40 targets in 2022. He was buried on Tampa's receiver depth chart behind Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Julio Jones and Russell Gage, so the move to Atlanta should allow him to have a bigger role, although it won't necessarily make him a big fantasy weapon.

Julio Jones, Breshad Perriman, Scotty Miller Not Expected Back
2 years agoThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers are not expected to re-sign impending free-agent wide receivers Julio Jones, Breshad Perriman or Scotty Miller, according to a source. Veterans such as running back Giovani Bernard, tight end Kyle Rudolph and safeties Logan Ryan and Keanu Neal are also not expected to return. Jones is the biggest name of the group. The seven-time Pro Bowler just finished up his 12th year in the NFL and looked close to finished while continue to battle lower-body injuries. He played in only 10 games for the second straight season and compiled only 24 catches on 43 targets for 299 yards and two touchdowns for Tampa. With Jones likely out of the picture in 2023, Russell Gage could once again become a nice sleeper pick in draft, depending on what happens with quarterback Tom Brady.

Breshad Perriman, Scotty Miller Inactive Sunday Night
2 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers wide receivers Breshad Perriman (knee) and Scotty Miller are both inactive on Sunday night against the Kansas City Chiefs. Perriman came into the Week 4 contest doubtful to play, while Miller will be a healthy scratch with Chris Godwin (hamstring) and Julio Jones (knee) returning to action. Tight end Kyle Rudolph will also be a healthy scratch for another game, while left tackle Donovan Smith (elbow) is active for the first time since getting injured in the season opener. Quarterback Tom Brady will have his top three receivers back for the first time since Week 1, and he'll need them to keep up with the Chiefs explosive offense.

Scotty Miller - Week 3 Outlook For Fantasy Football
3 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Scotty Miller (calf) was a full participant in practice this week and could have an expanded role against the Green Packers in Week 3. He was dealing with a calf issue, but should play after practicing in full this week. Mike Evans (suspension) and Chris Godwin (hamstring) have been ruled out, while Breshad Perriman (knee), Russell Gage (knee), and Julio Jones (knee) are all questionable. The 25-year-old caught three of eight targets for 34 yards while taking one carry for eight yards in the Week 2 win over the New Orleans Saints. Miller could be an option in deep-league formats if Perriman, Gage, or Jones is inactive.
