Masataka Yoshida Hits First Red Sox Homer Tuesday
2 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Masataka Yoshida got on the home run board in Tuesday's 7-5 Grapefruit League finale loss to the Braves. Batting fourth, Yoshida went 1-for-1 with a two-run HR off of Charlie Morton and a walk. The 29-year-old had a mediocre spring with the Red Sox but made quite the splash for Team Japan in the World Baseball Classic, batting .409 with 13 RBI. Yoshida hit for average and power in seven seasons with Nippon Professional Baseball, so fantasy managers will hope that carries over to the middle of the Red Sox lineup.
