Veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has been a fantasy star during his NFL career. The former LSU Tiger was a first-round pick by the New York Giants in 2014.

He starts his rookie year on fire, totaling 91 receptions for 130 targets for 1,305 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns. More importantly, Beckham put up those numbers in only 12 games. Furthermore, the rookie led the NFL with 108.8 receiving yards per contest.

After a strong rookie season, Beckham had over 1,000 receiving yards in four of the next five years. The only exception came in 2017 when the star receiver missed 12 games because of injury. Unfortunately, the former LSU Tiger has struggled with injuries throughout his career.

What Did Odell Beckham Jr. Accomplish In 2022?

Beckham has suffered multiple severe injuries in his career. He had a broken ankle in 2017 with the Giants and a torn ACL in 2020 with the Cleveland Browns. Unfortunately, the star receiver suffered another torn ACL during Super Bowl 56 with the Los Angeles Rams.

The injury forced Beckham to miss the entire 2022 season. There was speculation that the star wide receiver would join a team for a playoff run, but that never happened. Instead, the former LSU Tiger focused on his rehab and the 2023 season.

Is Odell Beckham Jr. A Good Fit With The Chiefs?

While many of the top free agent wide receivers have signed new deals this offseason, Beckham remains available on the open market. One potential landing spot is the Kansas City Chiefs. Head coach Andy Reid did not rule out the possibility of the team signing the star wide receiver.

Regardless of where the former first-round pick signs this offseason, fantasy players shouldn’t expect Beckham to return to his superstar form. He will turn 31 years old in November. More importantly, the veteran receiver hasn’t been a fantasy superstar for several years now.

However, Beckham would have fantasy value in Kansas City. The team lost JuJu Smith-Schuster in free agency and hasn’t replaced him. Last year the former USC star had 78 receptions on 101 targets for 933 receiving yards, all finishing second on the team. More importantly, Patrick Mahomes would easily be the best quarterback Beckham has ever played with in his career.
