Cory Sandhagen Dominates Striking Department
2 years agoEarly domination of the five-round affair led to Cory Sandhagen walking out of Saturday's main event as the victor over fellow top-ranked foe Marlon Vera. In 25 minutes of action, Sandhagen scored a very solid 128 significant strikes (187 total strikes) and landed three takedowns while locking in over seven minutes of control time. Controlling the first half and end of the contest could have been what gave Sandhagen the slight nod over Vera. Sandhagen now moves to 9-3 in the UFC and has been victorious in four of his last six bouts. He finds himself one step closer to earning a bantamweight title shot if he can keep this up.

Cory Sandhagen Can Earn Back-To-Back Victories
2 years agoCory Sandhagen (15-4) has recently turned around his rough fortunes, winning a fourth-round TKO battle against Song Yadong back in September of last year. Prior to that, Sandhagen had lost back-to-back matchups. A dangerous finisher in the UFC, 10 of his 15 career wins have come by the finish, with seven of them coming via knockout/TKO. Six of his eight UFC wins have in fact come by the finish as well. DraftKings sees Sandhagen as the favorite over Marlon Vera this Saturday with a salary of $8,600. Throughout his UFC career (11 bouts), he averages 88.4 fantasy points per contest. This should serve as an interesting main event, but Sandhagen needs to be careful against a streaking Vera.
