Heston Kjerstad Gets Reassigned
2 years agoThe Baltimore Orioles have reassigned outfield prospect Heston Kjerstad to minor-league camp. Kjerstad, 24, put together an impressive spring with a .381 batting average to go along with four homers and nine RBI in 48 at-bats. The teams first-round pick in 2020 has shown power with his left-handed swing, but has also been aggressive early in his professional career. Kjerstad spent 2022, his first professional season between Single-A and High-A and it will be interesting to see which level the Orioles decide to have him open the season in. There is a chance that he could see sometime towards the end of summer, but he is most likely to be an option in 2024. Dynasty managers should file his name away and redraft managers can leave him on the waiver wire for now.
